I believe we have a responsibility to our children to safeguard our environment. I believe there are viable alternatives to the continued use of fossil fuels. And finally, I am absolutely convinced there are profitable applications for biofuel and alternative energy technologies in today's commercial market.

There's room for everyone at the table.

Virgin Enterprises Intellectual Property manager on behalf of Virgin Fuels has told the Gaia Capitalist to Cease and Desist Production of this World BioEnergy News Site.

He has informed the publisher specifically, "Failing (to take the offer of $150 for transfer of virginfuels.org to Virgin) we would probably be better off reserving our rights to take formal action to recover the name at some point in the future." Whether this means lodging complaints against me for cybersquatting with the WWW Consortium or WhosIt or some other Internet governing body, or whether it means Virgin intends to file suit against me to force me to transfer the domain name registration to them, I do not know.

In defense the Gaia Capitalist wrote,

"... I was so inspired by Sir Richard, his new company and his vision of Gaia Capitalism. Of course, I have always respected and admired him and his amazing curiosity and energy, but he now speaks truth and wisdom the whole world needs to hear. He is a hero at a time in history when we all need to look up and believe in something better and greater. This is one of the reasons I started virginfuels.org. As an SE Google jockey, it's only natural to register the highest extension available."

I have never profited or received compensation from this website from anyone. I have never claimed to be associated with or endorsed by Virgin Fuels, Virgin Enterprises or Virgin Unite. It has never been a commercial site, no products were sold or advertised that might have been construed as Virgin Fuels or Virgin Enterprises associated. I offered only information and news about bioenergy and links to worthy (mostly non-profit) organizations.

My heart has always been in the right place and because I do not want to distract from the work I have done (and am doing on WorldBioEnergyNews.com), I will leave this independent news site in limbo until the lawyers sort it out. It was created for the right reasons, there's still lots of good information to read and important links to great organizations doing amazing work in bioenergy.
