Darlene Brice, dcb Web Publishing
Darlene Brice had her first computer built in 1982. She participated in the Defense Department
pilot project, called ARPAnet, in 1984 at Stanford
University.
During the 1980’s, her day job was as a production and layout artist for various newspapers in
the Bay Area. She witnessed DeskTop
Publishing emerge and flourish in the print publishing industry.
During that
time she consulted and wrote trade articles about networking typesetting and
page layout code software. Keeping up with the
developments in the 1990’s, she became fascinated with the concept of the
“every person publisher.”
She is the builder, developer and publisher of this
BioEnergy News Site. She has also written articles about the birth and growth of the early days of the Internet when she was called a sysop.
Most recently, she taught computer graphics and Internet
publishing for three years at New Horizons
Computer Learning
Center in Spokane,
WA. Since
then she has pursued the specialties of Search Engine Optimization and
CMS (Content Management System) website publishing.
She has been very successful at her SEO skills and she works
always toward SEs first page, if not first ranking. It’s like gambling or playing the stock
market to her. She has learned the
tricks of her trade. She thinks in computer algorithms. She has also been a professional graphic artist for more than 20 years. She just plain loves the stuff.
She realized that CMS was the future of web
publishing. CMS is an interactive,
dynamic, data-based, very professional website system that the client can control. An immensely
powerful tool to build and maintain a website that does far more than one can imagine.
Her most recent builds include:
LiveToRun.net
WaddellsPubandGrill.com
WorldBioEnergyNews.com
TopSoilScreeningEquipment.com
They are all ranking high for their targeted keywords in the
search engines.
Education:
BA degree, Political Science, UC Berkeley, 1977
Certification in Technical Graphic arts and Printing
She is the mother of 29-year old twin daughters and grandmother of Ryken.
